20 mph Application Submitted

20mph Community Highways Scheme Update

Lindfield Parish Council is pleased to announce that our application for a village-wide 20mph Community Highways Scheme has been successfully submitted ahead of the 31 July deadline.

Following the submission deadline, all applications will undergo assessment and moderation during the autumn. Schemes selected for the programme are expected to be confirmed and published in January.

If approved, the scheme would typically progress through a one-year design phase, followed by a one-year construction phase. Even smaller projects generally take a minimum of two years from approval to delivery, reflecting the necessary design work, safety audits, statutory processes and overall programme requirements.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the working group and everyone who has contributed to this project. A significant amount of research, planning and preparation has gone into producing the final submission.
